True Power Architecture
True Power is the name of Gangster's revolutionary Class-D architecture, featuring an interleaved switch-mode PSU and 3rd-generation-semiconductor based drive circuits. The biggest challenge for Class-D amplifiers has been their inability to deliver current in a sustained manner. As a result, their power is generally rated based on a 20-millisecond burst mode, meaning the amplifier can only deliver its rated power for that short interval. Beyond this period, they face a significant drop in output power due to sagging voltage rails.
This limitation prevents the amplifiers from reproducing the ful tonal character and richness of music with intense low-frequency content, such as that found in reggae and modern electronic dance music. Gangster's True Power design allows for sustained output levels without drop, even with the most extreme bass content, indefinitely.
Another benefit of the interleaved PSU includes reduced ripple current, that greatly improves the dynamics in audio reproduction.
Thermal Innovation
Until now even the best Class-D amplifiers have been rated to perform optimally at ambient temperatures around 45° C. Gangster's new architecture has been designed to work flawlessly even if the ambient temperatures reach up to 60° C (which as on date isn’t a condition found naturally anywhere on earth). This ensures that the amplifiers do not suffer from thermal fatigue in extended use conditions even in the hottest ambient conditions.
Gangster amplifiers are manufactured in robotic facilities that have a high degree of automation and minimum possibility of human error. State of the art manufacturing equipment combined with rigorous input and output QC processes ensure unmatched reliability.
